PROPOSAL FOR PROGRAM

Day 1: Hiking in Mols Bjerge
From Aarhus to Djursland - 50 km

The trip starts in Aarhus with mounting the roof top on your car. Then the trip goes to National Park Mols Bjerge, where there is time for a beautiful evening hike in the scenic hills. Follow one of the many marked hiking trails with routes of varying length. End the day with the sunset over Mols Bjerge and crawl to bed in the rooftop - under a perhaps sparkling starry sky.
Accommodation in rooftop.

Day 2: Nature experiences in Rebild National Park

From Djursland to Rebild - 110 km

Watch the sun rise over the hilltops and the sea and set course for magnificent nature experiences in Rebild National Park, also known as Rebild Hills. Here, the hilly landscape entices for a challenging mountain bike ride, sightseeing by bike, a nice hike or an idyllic picnic. Finish with a swim in the peaceful forest lake Store Økssø. It is possible to rent both mountain bikes and wetsuits at the hotel (for a fee, from approx. DKK 200), where there is check-in during the afternoon.
Accommodation at hotel incl. half board.

Day 3: The top of Denmark

From Rebild to Skagen - 140 km

After breakfast at the hotel, the trip goes north with a stop in almost tropical surroundings - namely on the palm beach in Frederikshavn. Then awaits Denmark's beautiful peak, Skagen! Known for its alluring light, the world-famous Skagen painters, charming center, sublime eateries, beautiful coasts and great experiences. Visit, for example, the Sanded Church or the Branch, where the seas shower together. Enjoy a lunch with freshly caught seafood at the charming fish houses on the harbor or make your way past the iconic Brøndums Hotel for schnapps and open sandwiches. Choose your favorite place surrounded by Skagen's beautiful nature and relax in the rooftop.
Accommodation in rooftop.

Day 4: Denmark's Sahara, Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse and beach cruise
From Skagen to Hanstholm - 200 km

Start the day in Denmark's Sahara - the huge, wandering dune Råbjerg Mile! Here the impressive soft sand dunes spread incomparably. Furthermore, the trip goes to yet another rarity. Rubjerg Knude Fyr towers strangely and lonely in the sand, as if it had been taken out of a surrealistic Dalí work. In 2019, the lighthouse became known around the world when it was moved after being engulfed by the dunes - and well on its way to its final in the sea's voracious waves. If you are more into self-pampering, you can visit the famous spa and wellness department Romulus in Skallerup Klit (entrance fee, approx. DKK 350-500). Here it's like traveling back to historic Rome.

The trip now continues south with a small stop in Løkken seaside resort. Make the drive an experience - namely with a distinctive and beautiful drive directly on the beach from Løkken to Rødhus. It is a stretch of approx. 20 km. You have to cross small freshwater streams with the car along the way. It is probably the most beautiful road in all of Denmark, and there is of course plenty of opportunity to make a stop for a dip in the lovely North Sea. On the drive you will also pass the cozy holiday town Blokhus, and here it is possible to shorten the route if you want to wave goodbye to the beach. At the end of the day you reach the fishing town of Hanstholm, where a relaxing stay at a hotel awaits.
Accommodation at hotel incl. half board.

Day 5: The Wild North Sea
From Hanstholm to Hvide Sande - 160 km

After breakfast at the hotel, the trip heads north with stops in almost tropical surroundings - namely on the palm beach in Frederikshavn.

Day 6: Medieval atmosphere in Denmark's oldest city
From Hvide Sande to Ribe - 100 km

If you are fresh in the morning, you can enjoy breakfast at sunrise over the fjord - and with a view of the day's many exciting experiences. The first stop on the drive is at Denmark's westernmost point, Blåvand. You can also stop by the award-winning Tirpitz Museum designed by star architect Bjarke Ingels. The museum lies like a giant, underground bunker almost hidden by the dunes. If you want to go inside the museum, you can look forward to being carried away when the West Coast's alluring stories are brought to life before your eyes in the exciting exhibitions (entrance to the museum DKK 145). Then the trip continues to Esbjerg with a short stop at the famous sculptures "Man by the sea" by the artist Svend Wiig Hansen, also known as the 4 white men, and who with their 9 meters height look impressively towards the sea. End the day in Ribe and go on a historic city walk through the beautiful, medieval streets of Denmark's oldest city.
Accommodation at hotel incl. half board.

Day 7: Wadden Sea and beach surfing on huge beaches
From Ribe to Haderslev - 110 km

After a lovely breakfast at the hotel, it's time to explore the distinctive nature of the Wadden Sea National Park, which elegantly adorns the UNESCO World Heritage List. If you want to learn more about nature, you can visit the Wadden Sea Center (for a fee, entrance fee approx. DKK 120). Then the trip continues to Rømø, which is located in the middle of the national park. On Rømø, the beaches stretch kilometer after kilometer - and the enormous expanses make the beaches one of Europe's best places to surf the beach. If you want to try your hand at the popular and fun activity that gives wind in the sails and a buzz in the stomach, this is why you should do it (for a fee, approx. DKK 375). If you prefer to explore the beautiful nature at a slower pace, you can instead go on a scenic hike from Sønderstrand to Lakolk Strand. The 8-10 kilometer long route takes you through fantastic and desolate dune landscapes, over gurgling streams, past mussel banks. And all the way you are enchantingly accompanied by the gentle nature and the formidable views.

On Rømø, it is possible to drive all the way down to the water in your car, so camp in the sun and enjoy a nice dip. Drive towards the east coast and end the day in the cozy, old market town of Haderslev, where cobbled streets, the prominent cathedral and the idyllic ponds welcome you.
Accommodation in rooftop.

Day 8: UNESCO heritage in the Gingerbread Town and world art in Vejle
From Haderslev to Aarhus - 130 km

The last day of the holiday starts with an early trip to Denmark's Gingerbread Town, Christiansfeld, where gingerbread has been baked for more than 200 years. In addition to being famous for its heavenly gingerbread, the city is also known for its historic city center, which with its rigorous urban planning and unique architecture has found its way to the UNESCO World Heritage List. Continue on to the last experiences of the trip in Vejle. Here you can experience the deer up close with a walk in Dyrehaven, you can get sand between your toes on a stroll along Tirsbæk Strand, or you can enjoy the moody and colorful sight in the umbrella street in the center of Vejle. You can also experience the city's iconic landmarks - the playful wave houses by the fjord or the sculptural Fjordenhus designed by the world-famous artist Olafur Eliasson. If you instead dream of a self-pampering and relaxing sentence for an eventful holiday, then you can visit Vejle Fjord or Comwell Kellerspark. Here you can enjoy spa and wellness in a class of its own (for a fee, admission from approx. DKK 450 to DKK 620).

A week full of fantastic activities, free experiences and great sights in our small, Danish kingdom is over. The trip goes again towards the city of smiles, Aarhus, where the rooftop and equipment are handed over.

Very nice trip!
